Per the UNC system policy restricting international travel, any international travel must be granted special approval from the Chancellor’s office in order to take place.  Special approval for the trip to London as part of the MEJO 447 course has not been approved.  The school expects to receive this response before the application deadline. Please keep in mind that even if approval is granted, the situation and risk of traveling will be continuously evaluated. The trip could be canceled at any time for the following reasons:

  • Travel restrictions prevent students and faculty from entering the country
  • A mandatory quarantine period prevents the program from being able to operate as planned
  • We are unable to meet expectations for necessary support and modifications
  • Program modifications render the program impossible, such as:
    • Inability to offer experiential learning opportunities that are integral to the academic requirements and structure of the program are not possible
    • Limits on enrollments make the program financially impossible
    • Modifications to housing and classroom arrangements make the program financially impossible
  • The faculty chooses not to lead the program abroad for any reason
  • Any other development that poses a risk to student safety

A trained staff member will be traveling with the group to provide health and safety support.
